No vote on alcohol in Sundown; organizer will try again - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

SUNDOWN, TX (KCBD) - There will be no vote to legalize alcohol in Sundown; at least not yet.

The Hockley County News Press says that roughly half the signatures in a recent petition drive had P.O. Boxes instead of the required physical address. That's why Hockley County commissioners say they rejected the petition.

So, petition organizer Feliz Carter tells KCBD NewsChannel 11 by phone that she will wait until everyone has returned from spring break; then, she'll try the petition drive again.
