LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - If you would like to become more involved in the political process, this is your chance. Both the Democratic and Republican parties will have their conventions this weekend.
The Lubbock County Republican party will hold theirs at the United Spirit Arena, inside the City Bank Conference Center, starting at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. They will be selecting delegates to the Texas State Republican Convention coming up in June.
Meanwhile, the convention for the Lubbock County Democratic party will be Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Cavazos Junior High on North University. They will e selecting their delegates and considering resolutions to be forwarded to the State Convention.
