Frequent flooding near Playa Lake 18 has city taking action

By James Clark | email

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Residents in southeast Lubbock are not happy with flooding around Playa Lake 18 at Ash Avenue south of 76th Street.  The playa has never been studied in the city's master drainage plan.

The area suffers from frequent flooding and standing water in the streets.  So, the city has gone out for bids on an engineering study, which will look for possible solutions.
