LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – If all goes according to the City Council agenda, Lubbock will approve more than $50 million of water projects this week. The city is scheduled to approve $41 million for the Lake Alan Henry Water Treatment Plant near Olive Avenue and F. M. 1585.
Also, the City is scheduled to approve bids for nearly $10 million of reservoir ponds near the soon to be built water treatment plant. The reservoir holds an emergency supply of water in the event of a disruption in the pipeline. The entire Lake Alan Henry pipeline project including the new treatment plant is expected to be online in 2012.
