Covenant to host free health screenings Saturday

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Covenant Health System will host a free community health screening on Saturday, March 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The screening will take place at the Knipling Education Conference Center located at 21st Street and Louisville Avenue on the sixth floor of the West Parking Garage.

Those who attend will be able to take part in a variety of screenings that help ensure good health.

General health screenings, such as skin cancer screenings and dental/oral health screenings will be available. In addition, both men's and women's health screenings will be offered. Men's health screenings include digital rectal exams/PSAs and testicular exams. Health screenings offered to women include pap smears/HPV testing and clinical breast exams.

In addition, the screening will also include: a complete metabolic panel, blood pressure testing, mental health testing, an STD testing voucher, a lipid profile, height/weight & BMI measurements, fecal occult home test kits, and health education materials.
