Lubbockites march in Chavez Celebration

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - For the 11th year in a row, hundreds of Lubbockites marched in the annual Cesar E. Chavez People's March and Celebration Saturday. Participants hope to bring attention to farm worker issues.

Chavez was the son of migrant laborers who led a nonviolent boycott to protest the poor conditions for farm workers. City Councilwoman Linda DeLeon served as the Grand Marshal.
