LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Fractures, sprains and muscle tears, the wide world of sports injuries is the subject in Community Medical School Tuesday, and your teacher is Dr. Jennifer Mitchell, the team doctor for the Lady Raiders.  She says she's going to tear apart all the medical jargon and acronyms for common injuries and just make learning fun.

"I'm looking forward to having fun with the audience," said Jennifer Mitchell, M.D., with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.  "I'm using something called the audience response system, which allows the audience to participate and answer some questions as we go."

There's still time to enroll in Community Medical School.  It's every Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center and for just $20 tuition, there are still three classes left.  For more information, call (806) 743-2008.
