LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Easter bunny is coming early here on the South Plains.
In Lubbock Saturday, Raintree Christian Church is hosting a free Easter egg hunt at Honey Elementary, at 3615 86th Street. The hunt begins at 2:30 p.m.
Over in Levelland, there will be an Easter egg drop at the South Plains Church. A helicopter will drop 10,000 eggs at 4 p.m. this afternoon. There will be secret prizes in certain eggs.
All proceeds from water bottle sales will go directly to the Children's Miracle Network.

This weekend a Lubbock tradition is in full swing at the City Bank Coliseum - it's the 68th Annual ABC Rodeo.
Today there will be a matinee and evening performance. Rodeo events at each performance include saddle bronc, calf roping, barrel racing and bull riding. And of course the fan favorite, Mutton Bustin', for the kids.
Saturday's shows start at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
