Eight more Latin Kings sentenced in Lubbock court

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Eight members of the Latin Kings street gang has been sentenced recently in Lubbock federal court.  The gang has been tied to a 2008 drive by shooting in Big Spring that killed two adults and one unborn child. An FBI dive team found parts of an AK-47 in White River just east of Crosbyton. 

The Texas leader of the Latin Kings, Jose Nava, was a Lubbock resident, official records have said.  There were 17 defendants in the Lubbock case.  These eight were sentenced last week on drug-related charges:

  • Reynaldo Nava, 121 months
  • Carol Ann Rivas Nava, 37 months
  • Cecily Dominique Juarez, 46 months
  • Robert Allen Ramirez, 235 months
  • Jesus Martinez, 121 months
  • Eduardo Daniel Mares, 235 months
  • Gabriel Lee Gonzales, 188 months
  • John Guzman, 210 months
