TXDOT and Granite Construction revealed their plans to local businesses along the new Marsha Sharp Freeway route.
Business owners along the West Loop access road are concerned the construction will make it difficult to access their buildings. TXDOT told them today that part of the construction will finish in eight to nine months and they say at no point will any business be completely shut off.
The freeway will link Southwest Lubbock with Interstate 27 in North Lubbock and the entire project should take almost three years.
