City web site commemorating 1970 tornado

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Nearly 40 years ago, a devastating tornado ripped through the Hub City. Now, the City has a web site commemorating the May 11th, 1970 storm.

The site includes photographs and documents from files and other sources that have not been available for viewing online until now. The city would also like to hear from you.

If you have pictures or stories from the tornado, you can share those on the site.
