Two Lubbock Cadets receive prestigious awards

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock Congressman Randy Neugebauer presented two Lubbock Cadets with prestigious awards Tuesday night.

The ceremony was at the Civil Air Patrol Headquarters at the Lubbock International Airport.

The two Cadets have achieved milestones in the Civil Air Patrol's Cadet Program.

Cadet Captain Michael Cartwright was presented the Amelia Earhart Award, which is the second milestone of the Cadet program.

Cadet Second Lieutenant Cameron Varner received the Billy Mitchell Award, the first milestone of the Cadet program.
