Mock Crash Represents Real Reminder to Lubbock High Students

A tragic scene unfolded on the Lubbock High School campus Thursday morning. It showed students the shattering effect drunk driving can have on their lives. Fortunately, it was all just a reenactment.

It was the "Shattered Dreams" program in which students participate in a mock drunk driving accident. Throughout the day students were removed from their classes to represent the lives lost each year to drunk driving. With prom just two weeks away, the event was held to serve as a reminder to students to make responsible decisions.
