Urgent appeal for O-negative blood at United Blood Services

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Type O- blood continues to be at an urgently low level. All O- donors are asked to make an extra effort to donate. All blood types are needed.

The requirements for donating are simple: You must be at least 16 years of age and be in good health.

To those in need, the simple act of giving is truly heroic.

Find the hero in you. Go to www.bloodhero.com or call 797-6804 to make an appointment, and then donate at least three times a year.

The Blood Donation Center is located at 48th and University.

Center Hours are:

  • Monday - 9:00 till 5:30
  • Tuesday - 11:00 till 7:00
  • Wednesday - 9:00 till 5:30
  • Thursday - 11:00 till 7:00
  • Friday - 9:00 till 4:00
  • Saturday - 9:00 till 2:00
