LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – FDA officials are issuing a warning about Lipo-dissolve, which is a procedure that promises to melt away fat. They're taking action against six U.S. based medical spas and a company in Brazil for making false claims about the safety of the procedure.
During Lipo-dissolve, patients receive a series of injections intended to dissolve fat, but the FDA says the drugs have not been approved this in the United States, and have received numerous complaints of permanent scarring and painful knots under the skin.
