Researchers at the University of Minnesota picked Cheerios for the study because it's easily available and relatively inexpensive and they found that by including 45 grams or 2 bowls of the whole grain Cheerios every day over a 12 week period, women were able to lower their LDL, or bad cholesterol by 10 points.
