Lubbock Cooper bull riding recruit signs with sponsor

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - He's the number one bull riding recruit in the nation and Thursday morning at Lubbock-Cooper High School he signed a huge corporate sponsorship.

He is 18 year old Chandler Bownds. He is the only high school student in the U.S. to sign with Cinch Jeans to be his sponsor.

"I guess it's just an adrenaline rush. I've done it for eight years. Sometimes I get nervous; just depends on where I'm at if I'm at a big rodeo I'll get never before I ride but most of the times I try to stay calm," says #1 Bull Riding Recruit in the U.S. Chandler Bownds.

Back in March bounds singed up with Panola College in Carthage, Texas , on a full bull riding scholarship that covers tuition, fees books, and his dorm room.

Panola says Bounds could get them to their First National Bull Riding Championship.
