LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – If you are intimidated by the serious equipment at a gym and perfect bodies working out next to you, you may want to check out a facility that caters to the over 50 crowd. With senior prices as low as $13 a month, no matter how many classes you take including zumba, line dancing, tai chi, belly dancing and much more.

Larry Sava, Director of the UMC Activity Center says what began as a place to get seniors moving has grown to include much more.

"We're seeing some in the thirties and occasionally in the twenties too, that don't fit into the traditional gym," said Mr. Sava.  "They're not looking for the hard body type gym they're looking for health and fun and some exercise, not bringing it to the extreme, but keeping your well being, your functional living skills."

If you would like to learn more about the UMC Activity Center, they're having an open house Friday, April 9th, from 2:30 to 4:30.  You'll find the facility at 82nd and Slide, near Lowe's Market Place.
