Former Lubbock ATF agent indicted for drug charges

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A former ATF special agent from Lubbock stands indicted for drug charges and money laundering.

A grand jury for the Northern District of Oklahoma indicted 33-year-old Brandon McFadden on Wednesday.

According to the indictment, from July 2002 through September of 2009, McFadden was a special agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The indictment alleges McFadden conspired with others to distribute several types of drugs in North Oklahoma.

As part of the conspiracy, he is alleged to have planted drug evidence on suspects, stolen drugs and money from suspects, and falsely testified in court.

If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.
