LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – How would you describe a trauma center and the people who work there? If you're like most people, you get a picture in your mind from popular television shows and that's the focus tomorrow in the final class in this semester of Community Medical School.
Dr. John Griswold, a surgeon at the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center says he's going to clear up the confusion by watching a few TV clips and with some interaction from the class.
"We're going to have an electronic question and answer opportunity for the audience, they'll be able to see questions, take a little quiz, give their input, so it should be a lot of fun," said Dr. Griswold.
This last class of community medical school is Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:00 at the Texas Tech Health Science Center. Even if you haven't been attending but would like to learn more about a real trauma center. It's just $10 and open to the public. Please call (806)743-2008 for more information.
