LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Mark Griffin, who lost the Republican District 84 run off election to John Frullo said he thinks the reason he lost is because Frullo did a better job of getting his supporters to the polls.

Griffin says even though he didn't win, he still plans to be an advocate for education. "I want to stay connected making sure that we have the very best educated workforce in Texas, and I want to stay in tune as to what's going on there. If I can provide some assistance and encouragement in that regard I certainly want to do that," he said.

Griffin also says he plans to help support Frullo in any way he can during the general election in November.
