LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock County grand jury indicted former spouses for what police call a murder for hire plot and a sex offender for failure to register.

Vicki Beverage, 34, of Plainview, was indicted Tuesday for aggravated assault. According to her arrest warrant, Beverage and her ex-husband Scotty Justice planned to kill a woman for turning Beverage in to CPS officials.

Lubbock County officials say Justice lured the victim to a dirt road near the Lubbock/Hockley County line on March 18th, and sexually assaulted her and then beat her unconscious. Justice was indicted for aggravated assault and aggravated sexual assault.

The grand jury also indicted 26-year-old Billy Sneathen for failure to register as a sex offender. Sneathen is on probation for aggravated sexual assault of two young girls, both under the age of five.
