LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Kal Segrist, the fifth baseball coach to lead the Red Raiders, will have his jersey formally retired in a pre game ceremony on Saturday, April 17th prior to Texas Tech's Big 12 Conference game against the University of Oklahoma.

Segrist, who led the Red Raiders between 1968 and 1983, will join Larry Hays (1987-2008) as the only two coaches to have their jerseys retired at Texas Tech. The jersey numbers of Segrist (#24) and Hays (#27) will hang alongside former players Brooks Wallace (#22) and Clint Bryant (#23) on the wall in right-center field at Dan Law Field.

Texas Tech and Oklahoma are scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. first pitch on Saturday. Should inclement weather makes changes to Tech's schedule on Saturday, the retirement ceremony will be postponed to a later date.
