LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – What's one of the best ways to steer teens away from cigarettes?   Good dads.  According to a British study that found teens whose fathers talk to them about important issues are less likely to experiment with smoking.

The study included more than 3,500 kids from age 11 to 15 and followed them for three years.  Researchers found the frequency of family arguments or even family meals did not have as much of an impact as the amount of time dads spent just talking to their kids.
