LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - We begin at the top where many people start their mornings. Rise N Shine Donuts at 1908 50th and Sip N Dip Donuts at 3211 50th pour up a perfect score.

Next we head to a lunch-time favorite. Taco Villa at 7727 Milwaukee wraps up their inspection with zero violations.

If you're looking for something a little more authentic head to Estrella's Mexican Restaurant at 1905 50th Street; it's their first time on the list. India Palace at 3021 34th adds a little spice to this week's menu and a repeat top performance.

We continue with our foreign affair with the flavors of Greece. It's Greek to Me at 7006 University also cooks up another perfect score. So does Lite Bite Mediterranean Café at 3624 50th. And if you want to bring the taste of Italy home, Papa Murphy's Pizza at 8205 Indiana prepares perfection.

We wrap up the top of the list with a whopping double-decker of perfection. Burger King at 4202 82nd Street and its royal sibling Burger King at 6311 82nd street share the throne.

This week's only low performer has been at the bottom before. Inspectors cited Lin's Buffet at 5608 Slide with 9 critical violations.

  • Several items on the buffet were not at the safe hot temperature of at least 135 degrees.
  • Multiple cold foods were above the safe temperature of 41 degrees. The inspector noted that the ambient temperature of the refrigerator was 60 degrees and added that it could not be used until it was repaired.
  • There was no thermometer inside a reach-in cooler.
  • Raw chicken was stored above raw beef and shrimp.
  • A bag of moldy shredded cheese was found in a cooler.
  • Multiple hand sinks were used for purposes other than washing hands.
  • A hand sink did not have a handle for hot water.
  • There was mold inside the ice machine. Kitchen utensils were dirty or broken.
  • Sanitizer was at toxic levels. Cleaners and an unlabeled toxic item were near food.

Management tells us all violations have been corrected. The report shows most were corrected at the time of inspection.
