Georgia Lucero: Lubbock's Everyday Hero

Lubbock is home to a "National Everyday Hero." Cox Communications and Court TV awarded Georgia Lucero the "National Everyday Hero" award. It is an honor given to nine individuals across the state who are heroes in their communities.

Lucero has already been Marine of the Month, Service Person of the Year and is a United Way volunteer.

Monday, Lubbock County Commissioners recognized Lucero by presenting her with an American flag, previously flown over the Lubbock County Courthouse.
