Potholes cause problems for drivers

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The recent record  rainfall did some damage to the streets of Lubbock. The city has blocked off some areas where the streets are particularly bad, but not all so be careful.

To avoid damage to your car from potholes, leave plenty of space between you and the car in front of you to you can spot those problem areas. If you can't go around the pothole, slow down when you drive over it.

One of the worst spots is South Indiana Avenue between 127th and 130th streets. This section of Indiana is closed at least through Monday. Lubbock-Cooper I.S.D. knows about the problem, and will have more information for parents before Monday's classes.

To report potholes in town you can call the City of Lubbock at 3-1-1 and they'll take down the report.
