No Cell Phone school zone signs posted in Wolfforth

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Monday morning, Wolfforth Police put drivers on notice in a written statement that "No Cell Phone" signs are now posted near two schools.

Texas passed a law stating that you cannot use a cell phone while driving in a school zone. However, there was a catch. The law could only be enforced if signs were posted.

Frenship Middle School and Frenship High School now have the "No Cell Phone" signs posted. Signs at Bennett Elementary are expected to go up soon.

Police say that they will give out warnings at first and citations as time goes on.
