Police investigation Sunday morning hit and run

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The investigation continues into a Sunday morning accident that police call a hit and run.

Lubbock police say the driver of a pickup truck was headed west on 19th Street when he ran into the back of another vehicle. The truck then slammed into a utility pole. Police say the driver fled the scene, leaving his two passengers injured.

It took Jaws of Life almost 45 minutes to reach the four people in the other car.

Fifty-five year old Maria Blaylock, 82 year old Margarito Garcia, 29 year old Priscilla Sanchez, and 80 year old Julia Garcia were all taken by EMS with serious injuries.
