Lubbock woman authors children's book on bullying

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock woman has taken on a national hot button issue by writing a book.

Brenda Poage feels so passionately about the issue that she wrote a children's book called "Ima Nobody Becomes Somebody."

It describes Ima's struggle to overcome bullying by "Bratty Little Billy."

"It's based on my childhood. I decided that I wanted to have kids of my own, I wanted to handle the issue of bullying with my kids, and let them know they could come to me and let me know about it, and to let them know that it's not okay to hurt someone's feelings.," says Brenda Poage.

Poage has set up a website with more information, that website is www.imanobody.net.
