LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – It's not usually open for lunch, but Wednesday it was packed for two lunchtime events in Honor of Administrative Assistant's Day. The Texas Roadhouse opened its doors for lunch and a style show to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network and our weather team even helped pitch in as waiters.

Gary Danhoff, the Roadhouse Manager, has organized this event every year for six years, raising more than $50,000 for the UMC Children's Hospital partly because his own son, Hunter, had Leukemia at age three and was treated at UMC.

Now, 15 years later, Hunter is healthy and a Senior at Frenship High.  Gary told the crowd today for that, he is forever grateful to CMN and what a way to say thank you. The Administrative Assistant's Lunch at Roadhouse raised more than $12,000.  Don't forget the CMN broadcast is coming up on June 5th and 6th.
