Arlington company developes pipeless jets for safer pedicures

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – An Arlington company has invented what it calls a fix for those customers who are nervous about dropping their feet into a traditional salon tub for a pedicure. You may have felt this same concern. The traditional spa tubs have pipes that can easily harbor bacteria if they're not cleaned properly, but an Arlington company has invented tubs that are pipeless and powered by magnetic jets. The magnets are completely removable so they're easier to sanitize, which is not only safer for customers, but good for the business as well. 

"We can be fined anywhere from 500 to 2500 dollars if it's not cleaned properly," said Tiffany Palmer, a salon manager, trying out the new magnetic tubs.

The new magnetic jets are expected to be available sometime this summer.
