SILVERTON, TX (KCBD) – The ban on water skiing and jet skiing has been lifted at Lake Mackenzie 12 miles northwest of Silverton.

Recent rains have lifted the lake level, which for the last 15-and-a-half months made skiing activities unsafe, according to the Mackenzie Municipal Authority's website.

The Authority was working early Thursday afternoon to update the website to reflect the lifting of the ban.  The lake level has come up more than five feet due to recent rainfall.
