Source: Lubbock Co. Sheriff's Dept.LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Two suspected copper thieves are in custody after a high speed chase east of Lubbock.
Friday morning, witnesses allegedly spotted Rene and Tiffany Hinojosa in a field in the Acuff area, and followed them until authorities arrived.
That's when Lubbock County Sheriffs started pursuing them. The chase ended minutes later as they tried to return to a relative's home, where they had been staying.
The Hinojosas are in the Lubbock County Jail on charges of felony theft.
