Police investigate a suspicious death in east Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Police investigate a suspicious death in east Lubbock.  Authorities were called to a home in the 1500 Block of 8th Street just before 5:30 a.m. Saturday. 

There they found a 42-year-old, female victim dead.  Lubbock Police Captain Greg Stevens says the circumstances surrounding her death warranted an investigation, but they have to wait on autopsy results to reveal further information.

An autopsy is scheduled for early next week.  KCBD NewsChannel 11 will keep you updated on this developing story.
