Lubbockites enjoy music while providing for kids in need

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Folks enjoyed music at the 3rd Annual Chrome Live Music Festival Saturday. It featured artists including Matt Costa and Ben Kweller.

People also supported the charity part of the festival with a Toms Style Your Soul event.

"They're actually plain canvas shoes, and so there's an area where you can spray paint shoes. There's an area where you can paint, you can draw on them, you can do whatever you want to make them your own while you're listening to the bands play," said Event manager, Kiko Velez.

For each pair of Toms shoes bought, the company will give a pair to a child in need. Lubbock's event is one of the largest in the country. Last years event supplied about 1,000 pairs of shoes.
