Name released in fatal construction equipment accident

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A 50-year-old Lubbock County man is dead after he was crushed by a front-end loader Monday night.

Ricardo Barron, 50, was pronounced dead at the scene at 900 block of CR 7360, near FM1585 and the Tahoka Highway.

Investigators say Barron was using the loader around 8:45 p.m. when he fell out of the cab and was run over. Rescuers had to use another loader to lift the equipment off of him.

The Lubbock Sheriff's Office, Fire Department, EMS, DPS, and Woodrow Fire Department all responded to the scene.
