LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Some of baseball's most celebrated hitters like Derek Jeter and Ken Griffey, Jr., will be swinging pink on Mother's Day.

The folks at "Louisville Slugger" are making pink bats in an effort to knock out breast cancer. More than 250 pink bats will be autographed and auctioned off, to raise money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

This is the fifth year for the pink bats on Mother's Day, an effort that has raised over a million dollars for breast cancer research.
