Tech cancels midweek game at Northern Colorado

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech University has opted out of its contracted baseball game against the University of Northern Colorado that was scheduled to be played on Tuesday, May 18 at Jackson Field in Greely, Colo.

Texas Tech head baseball coach Dan Spencer and director of athletics Gerald Myers have notified officials at Northern Colorado of the decision and expressed interests in scheduling a future contest.

The cancellation of the Northern Colorado series will leave just nine games remaining on the regular-season schedule for the Red Raiders and all will be part of Big 12 play.  Tech will close out the regular-season at home against Missouri (April 30 – May 1) and Baylor (May 15-18) before hitting the road at Nebraska (May 21-23).
