LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Criminal charges were dropped Wednesday in the case of a prison guard who was arrested in uniform outside the Giles Dalby Correctional Facility. Federal agents escorted Joe Ramirez-Pizarro into the Lubbock County jail on April 15th.
He had been indicted for falsifying his U.S. citizenship as well as faking a passport application. His family said he was innocent all along. On Wednesday Ramirez-Pizarro's family got their wish; prosecutors asked permission to drop the charges and Judge Sam Cummings agreed.
