In a follow up to a breaking story we brought you Thursday night, what at first appeared to be a police chase that ended at South University and Loop 289 was actually a medical emergency.
Lubbock Police say a middle-aged man driving a black Acura Legend had a Diabetic seizure while driving, and blacked-out at the wheel. Police and EMS crews followed the man for several miles before a police cruiser was able to stop him at South Loop 289 and University.
The man and his son, who was also in the car, are said to be doing fine.
