LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Watch what you say and how you say it around babies! A new study finds infants as young as seven months old can process your tone of voice and understand different emotions like anger or joy. Using brain scans British researchers could see that even seven month old babies had brain activity that was similar to adults when listening to a human voice. It was hard to see a pattern in younger babies, but by seven months researchers say the brain response was obvious. Pointing to how important it is for adults to show their best side, even when talking around the tiniest of ears.
