Traffic shifted at 34th & Quaker for waterline work

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Traffic lanes at the intersection of 34th Street and Quaker Avenue have been shifted to accommodate for the completion of a water line construction project.

East and westbound traffic has been shifted to the north side of 34th Street.  North and southbound traffic has been shifted to the East side Quaker Avenue.  The intersection will remain under construction for approximately 3-4 weeks. The work is being done to replace aging water infrastructure and improve the reliability of the water distribution system in the area.

Drivers are encouraged to use extreme caution while driving in the area. As always, inclement weather and mechanical problems could cause delays.
