LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock's first and only student-run advertising agency, Whipper Snapper Advertising, collaborated with two fellow Texas Tech students by putting together the first ever Undie Run. This event will benefit two non-profit organizations. The one-mile run will take place at Urbanovsky Park on May 4th at 6:00 p.m.
The Undie Run event will kick off with a warm up party starting at 6 p.m. The warm up party will consist of snacks, drinks, and live music. In order to participate at the Undie Run, all runners must sign up on the day of the race at designated booths. This run is a free event and monetary donations will be accepted on race day. All of Lubbock County is encouraged to participate in breaking a world recording and raising money for a good cause.
All monetary proceeds will be donated to the Sean Kimerling Testicular Cancer Foundation. Any clothes left at the starting line will be given to local Goodwill stores. For those wishing to have pants on while running, the underwear must be present over clothing.
