Slaton Police now believe they have the evidence needed to charge a man with manslaughter in an apparent case of road rage.
The accident happened on the Slaton Highway last Sunday. According to police, Chaz Michael Eiguren was changing lanes when he clipped Veronica Flores' SUV. Flores then lost control and ended up rolling several times across the median. Flores and her two daughters, Cassandra and Celestina, all died at the scene.
Slaton Police Chief Jeff Creager says the evidence shows Eiguren displayed a reckless disregard for human life. Creager says his office will recommend Eiguren be charged with three counts manslaughter, which could happen by the end of the week.
