LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Texas Tech students and members of the community stripped down to their skivvies on Tuesday night for Lubbock's first ever "Undie Run."

Runners warmed up with a little food and fun.

"This is the very first time and we're so excited that it's been such a success. Everyone had a great time!" says Laurie Umfleet, co-organizer of the Tech Undie Run.

The Undie Run was organized by members of the student run Whipper Snapper Advertising, and raised money for two worthy non profits.

All clothing left at the starting line was donated to Goodwill of Lubbock.Monetary donations will be donated to the Sean Kimerling Testicular Cancer Foundation.

Kimerling was the Emmy Award winning sports anchor for WPIX in New York. He died in 2003 at the age of 37, only about 30 days after his cancer diagnosis.

The foundation hopes to raise awareness of testicular cancer, and the need for regular self examination.
