McNeil Consumer Healthcare Voluntarily Recalls Certain OTC Infants and Children's Products

Posted:

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Tuesday, we told you about the dust and grime that investigators found inside the equipment used to make many popular brands of children's medicine, something that has led to the manufacturer's voluntary recall of dozens of their products for kids.

The production of children's medication at the McNeil Consumer Healthcare plant in Pennsylvania has been suspended. They are a division of Johnson & Johnson, one of the most trusted names in the industry.  Johnson & Johnson says that they are currently working with the Food and Drug Administration to make necessary changes.

Again, experts don't anticipate any illnesses from the recall, but they are asking parents to throw out any infants or children's liquid Tylenol, Zyrtec, Benadryl or Motrin and suggest using  the store brand generic brands of children's medication instead of the Johnson & Johnson brand for now.
