Memorial fund set up for South Plains Census workers

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -  A memorial fund has been set up for the two South Plains Census workers killed last week.

Police say 67-year-old Merlyn Millsap of Levelland ran a stop sigh Friday just north of Midland and was hit by a tractor trailer.

He and his passenger, 31-year-old Sara Pierce of Brownfield died at the scene.

The fund has been set up in both Millsap and Pierce's names. Donations can be made at any City Bank branch.
