Man seriously injured after being hit by car Friday morning

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock man is rushed to the hospital after he was hit by an SUV.

The accident happened just after 11:00 a.m. Friday, at 50th and Avenue Q.

Police tell us the victim was attempting to cross 50th Street on a motorized scooter, that is when he was hit by a black Yukon. Police say she was leaving United Supermarket and turning westbound.

She was not cited for the accident, since the victim was not using the crosswalk and failed to yield the right of way.

The man's name and condition are still not available.
