Boy remains critically injured after Sunday go-cart accident

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – A 12-year-old boy remains in critical condition Monday, according to the Lubbock County Sheriff's Department. 

The boy crashed Sunday afternoon in a go-cart west of 50th Street and FM 179.  Even though he was wearing a seat belt he was ejected, officials say. It is possible that another go-cart then struck him during or after the crash. 

The Sheriff's Department has not released the name.
